Blackthorn’s a UK #1 Too!

What a few days it has been! Not only has Blood Torn been doing well in the charts since its release on Friday, yesterday I was thrilled when Blood Shadows reached the #1 spot in Amazon.com’s Gothic Romance chart. Then at lunchtime today, I was elated to see all 3 Blackthorn books had hit the Top 4 in the Gothic Romance chart over here on Amazon UK.

Just when I thought the excitement was over, I received word that Blood Shadows had since reached #1 in Amazon UK’s Paranormal Vampire Romance chart! Yay!!

But that’s it now – no more boring you with stats and chart positions, I promise. As you’ve probably guessed, I use this blog as a diary for myself as well as to update you, and I couldn’t possibly not have this on the records.

So thanks again to everyone who is continuing to spread the word. And also extra special thanks to my incredible publisher, Bookouture, who are working relentlessly in the background to ensure Blackthorn meets as many readers as possible. Clearly it’s working!

But before Jask starts getting jealous of Kane stealing all his limelight, I’ll end the night here in the UK with another Bite. Go on, Jask, you tell ’em…

I’ll have another Bite for you tomorrow!

Blackthorn Hits No.1 – Again!

We did it, Team Blackthorn – Blackthorn is back at number 1 in Amazon’s U.S. Gothic Romance chart! Blood Shadows has not only hit the #1 spot for the second time, it has even earned itself a ‘Best Seller’ label!

And Blood Torn is close behind – snapping at its heels at number 4. Blood Roses is also doing well, just skirting the periphery of the Top 10.

(Yes, that’s Blood Torn lurking in the ‘Hot New Releases’ too!)

And Blackthorn’s doing well on Amazon UK too. Not only did Blood Torn go straight into the Gothic Romance bestsellers chart on Saturday, but it wasn’t alone – all three Blackthorn books were in the Top 10 simultaneously. Yay!! 😀

Screen Capture11

The books are also doing well in the Paranormal Romance Top 50, particularly in the vampire chart. I could bore you with numbers for ages, but the fact is that this is all thanks to every single reader who has gone out and supported the series.

I’m overwhelmed by the response to Blood Torn so far, so thank you so much everyone who has finished the book and got in touch to let me know what you think. And for those who have written reviews or are planning to – I hope you know how much I appreciate it. There’s no better way to spread the word to other readers than through readers themselves.

And on that note, I also want to say huge congrats to the lovely Tima Maria Lacoba (Blackthorn fan!), who’s own vampire romance, BLOODGIFTED, also made it into Amazon.com’s ‘Hot New Releases’ in Gothic Romance this weekend – at #38. It’s great to be chart-buddies with you, Tima!

It’s Blood Torn Release Day!

Today’s the day – Blood Torn is finally out!! 😀 Thank you to everyone who is already making the day special with your tweets, comments and messages. I’m getting the hint that a few people will be spending this weekend in Blackthorn. Make sure you come back to me safely!

And the day started brilliantly with a truly fantastic joint review of Blood Torn by two super-skilled reviewers over on The Demon Librarian – Lynsey and Janice. Thank you so much, ladies!

If you’ve read any of the Blackthorn books (and if you haven’t, seriously, WTH are you waiting for?!), then you know what I know, which is that author Lindsay J. Pryor is crazy good at this writing stuff. Her world-building skills are scary-good, her writing is crisp and confident, and her characters are dark and deadly. And once her books sink their teeth into you, there’s no going back. You’re hooked. For life.

You can follow the link above if you’d like to read their reviews in full – no big spoilers, I promise, just amazingly insightful glimpses into the series so far.

But it doesn’t stop there. They also kindly invited me to face a grilling on their blog: What was I thinking not tying up each Blackthorn book with a HEA? And why write such dark heroes? So I told them. You can find my answers beneath their reviews via the same link above.

Have a wonderful day, everyone! And whether it’s today, this weekend, or Blood Torn is (hopefully!) pulled out from your TBR pile in the weeks to come, I really hope you enjoy your next trip into Blackthorn. Thanks, as always, for your support.

And huge thanks to Moonrise Book Blog for their awesome 5 star review of Blood Torn this week:

This series has yet to disappoint, and this was my favorite book in the series, so far!…This is an intense and intimate tale, with a dance between characters that is both captivating and turbulent! I could not put it down, and I absolutely loved the ride! A must read!”

The countdown is on… 🙂

Blood Torn – The Winner’s Review

Blood Torn launches TWO WEEKS TODAY! A while ago, I ran a competition in conjunction with Bookouture for one lucky Blackthorn fan to win an advanced copy of my latest instalment into Blackthorn. The winner was Tracey Rogers who, as a result, has earned herself the official title of ‘Blackthorn Superfan’. 🙂  Well, she’s read the book and now she’s reviewed it too…

An enthralling emotional journey from start to breathtaking end! Expect the unexpected and then some! Beautifully written, Lindsay J. Pryor adds her jaw dropping twists and with the addition of a few familiar Blackthorn residents making an appearance, prepare to be stunned. Fabulous.

But that’s just a snippet… if you’re eagerly awaiting the book and you’d like to know the full extent of what Tracey thought as well as what’s in store, you can read her totally awesome review here.

Thanks so much for entering the competition Tracey, for reading Blood Torn and taking the time to review it. I’m so thrilled it was worth your while!

And if you too are a big fan of Blackthorn and are happy to shout about it, Anna over on VampChix and Bite Club would like to know what readers think of my series. If you think you can tempt her to push it to the top of her ‘To Be Read’ pile, I’d LOVE  you to head over and comment. And to everyone who already has, big hugs and much appreciation as always for your support. Let’s unashamedly drag new readers kicking and screaming into Blackthorn. 😉

Have a brilliant weekend, everyone!

Blood Torn Chapters Coming Soon

First came the cover reveal…

Thanks SO much for all the fantastic feedback both here, on my Facebook Page and Twitter about the new Blackthorn covers – I very much appreciate it. It’s always good to know what fans of the series think and I’m thrilled (a.k.a. relieved ;-)) that you like the new style.

Now the first three chapters are on their way….

The first three chapters of Blood Torn will be available to read here for free on FRIDAY.

With only three weeks to go before the official release, I’ve already been informed there’s something of a Blackthorn marathon happening in the background with both Blood Shadows and Blood Roses being re-read before the launch of book three. That is so awesome! I hope you’re picking up on lots of little clues you might have missed first time around. Retrospect can be a great thing – especially with this series!

However, if you’re going to plough straight into Blood Torn but some things are a bit of a haze, this might help refresh your mind before you leap back into Blackthorn…

*WARNING! CONTAINS HUGE BLOOD SHADOWS AND BLOOD ROSES SPOILERS!*

Love can overrule fate…

Blood Roses ended with Leila having committed the ultimate serryn taboo – she fell in love not only with a vampire but, worse still, her nemesis, Caleb Dehain. He’s the leader prophesied to bring down human rule in place of vampire control. A serryn is the key to either evoking or thwarting it. One of them should already be dead, so to say she’s messed up what fate intended is something of an understatement. But more of that in due course.

Passing the gauntlet…

The greatest personal consequence for Leila is that the serryn line subsequently jumped to her younger sister, Sophia (known affectionately by her family as Sophie).

Unfortunately, Caleb not only knows this but also that his younger brother, Jake, didn’t end up on his deathbed by coincidence – it was an assassination attempt at the hands of the covert vigilante group Sophia works for: The Alliance.

A race against time…

Caleb’s inevitable hunt for Sophia has begun, albeit having granted Leila seven days to find an alternative to her sister’s pending fate. But, for Leila, it’s not just about Sophia’s fate – it’s about the fate of the vampire she loves and, subsequently, the fate of the world they live in.

But Blackthorn’s a small place…

In the final chapter of Blood Roses and the opening chapter of Blood Torn, Sophia was tied up in a subterranean room in Blackthorn – evidence of her new serrynity all over the floor – and Jask Tao, leader of the lycan pack in Blackthorn, having just found her.

We first met Jask in Blood Shadows and, by the end of it, he was not happy. Fourteen years previous, the Third Species Control Division had set up two members of his pack in an attempt to bring Kane Malloy into custody. Jask wanted those responsible dead – including the link between them, agent Caitlin Parish.

But, for the sake of Blackthorn, he and Kane struck a deal to hold on for the ultimate vengeance. A deal that, seemingly by the end of Blood Shadows, Kane went back on after falling for Caitlin. Only nobody goes back on a deal with Jask.

And so Blood Torn begins…

I hope you enjoy the sample chapters!

Blood Torn Cover Reveal and Blackthorn’s New Look

A little while ago, Bookouture conferred with me about the possibility of a new look for my Blackthorn series. At first, I wasn’t sure. I loved the covers as they were – no doubt about that. Then I was shown the new version. Hands up, I fell in love with them instantly. Not only do they now feature a glimpse of the district of Blackthorn itself, but both the heroine and hero make it onto the front cover of each. Vibrant, energetic and combining both the romantic and thriller elements that define the books, I’m totally elated with the final result. I hope you like the new look too!

So, without further delay, here’s the cover unveiling for Blood Torn (book 3) – and you can scroll down to see the new look Blood Roses (book 2) and Blood Shadows (book 1).

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Another Blackthorn Book Signed!

I’m beyond thrilled to announce that the fourth book in the Blackthorn series has been signed! I’m also super-pleased that it has been signed by the current publisher of the series, Bookouture. They have done such an awesome job with the first three books that agreeing to them publishing this next instalment was effortless.

For those who have been following Blackthorn for a while (and read everything I write here and in interviews), you’ll know that the series consists of four pivotal couples whose forbidden love becomes integral to the future of Blackthorn. Each of their introductions to you ends at a crucial point in their relationship: a catalyst for the change to begin. Beyond book 4, the impact transpires…

So, book 4 is about the final couple I need you to meet: Eden and Jessie. I’ll have their Pinterest board up and running soon so you can get a glimpse. The title is Blood Deep. As you’d come to expect, it’s dark, it’s gritty, it’s sexy – and I’m having a great time writing it as we speak! You’ll be able to read the first chapter at the end of Blood Torn. And on that note…

Only four weeks to go until the release!! And, to add more exciting news, Blackthorn has a brand new look! Bookouture has been very busy in the background, and we’ll be unveiling all tomorrow – not least the full cover reveal for Blood Torn!

The countdown is on…
