Oh God…there are so many…..
The garage scene in Blood Shadows….phew!
When Kane found Caitlin gone….it was the first time he felt the panic of worrying about someone since Arana, and gave us an insight into how his feelings for Caitlin were growing.
‘That’ scene in Blood Dark….you know the one….it involved six strips of material (fan she self)
But by far the one that really pulled at my heart was when Caitlin almost died at the end of Blood Dark….and Kane let everyone see how much he loved her…..and that’s why I Love Him!!!
My favourite Kane and Caitlin quote is near the end of Blood Shadows,
Kane says “‘Say no to me now,’ he said. ‘And walk away. Walk away from all of this. Or once I’m back inside you, I will own you.’
And Caitlin says “Are you threatening me Kane Malloy?”
To which Kane says ‘I prefer to call it foreplay, Caitlin Parish. But whatever suits.’
I just loved this bit. Even though it was the end of Blood Shadows, you knew their love and journey were just beginning.
It will stay with me that. ❤️
The scene in Blood instinct with Phia letting the Serryn out is my favourite Kane scene but that’s not with Caitlin so I will have to say when Caitlin dies in Blood Dark; that really pulled at my heartstrings! Think my theme is Kane being vulnerable lol
My favourite scene is from Blood Dark when Kane (swooooon hi Kane) saves Caitlin.
Because this is a special anniversary day I have to start at the beginning. It’s where you know you are reading something pretty amazing, reveals Kane and Caitlin’s dynamics and that they aren’t your usual hearts and flowers couple. Well, there’s hearts 😉
“Tell me you’ve never fantasised about this moment.”
“I have,” she said breathily. “Only I’d already lodged a stake in your dysfunctional heart.”

So many moments through out the series, how can you pick just one moment out of so many.
He lay acquiescently on his back, torso exposed, his head turned slightly in her direction. The sheet was low on his flat stomach, barely covering his hips and groin. He was still naked. His left arm lay between them, his right under his head as if basking on a summer’s day. He appeared to be sleeping soundly and peacefully. This was Kane Malloy with his defences down . Something , she was sure, only a rare few ever saw. Females he’d brought into his bed and trusted enough to stay the night. Maybe one or two close friends, if he had any.
Erm…..where to begin with this one! One of my favourite moments between Kane and Caitlin has to be when Kane follows Caitlin into the door way of a building. She knew he was following and waited for him. It was very atmospheric, quiet, private and personal moment between them but I also love the car journey to Kane’s secret home and Caitlin wandering around his home where she gained a little more insight into the mystery that is Kane.
My favourite scene is from blood dark after Caitlin has read Jessie , they are alone together talking about what could have been and Caitlin says , don’t let Morgans lips be the last I may ever feel and he doesn’t 💏
Fav moment was the double feed to save Kane after he was captured and Caitlin saved him❤😇
To be honest, Kane was my first crush in the series…(until Caleb sauntered into the story). 😉 I was hooked with Kane and Caitlin’s story and I can’t tell you what a shock Blood Shadow’s twisty ending was…where he backed off and let the soul ripper go after Caitlin. After my head cleared, I realized how it was actually perfect…but at the time I read it, I was internally screaming at him: “Kane…NO!!!”
I have so many moments in the series that are just unforgettable, really…. In Blood Dark, the exchange between Kane and Shiver when he sought her out again to ask about closing the tear with the 4th dimension, and she had to say to him ‘She’s not going to make it.’ Oh gosh…that scene…talk about heart-stopping!
And my favorite quotes from Kane:
“Are you perving on me again, Parish?” – Blood Dark
“Just don’t accuse me of dull dates.” – Blood Dark

How about moment that has not yet happened for Kane and Caitlin, but I’m really hoping we get to see/hear about it at some point in the future? LOL. I’m still holding out hope for a scene involving a special eclipse; I want to see these two so badly have a happily ever after that includes starting a family. Hey, Little Jask or Little Phia is going to need someone their age to play with ;), as well as Little Leila or Little Caleb 😛
So, maybe if Lindsay ever does like a Blackthorn Anthology of outtakes or futuretakes from the series, it could be included in there. *hint hint wink wink nudge nudge*
But, favorite Kane and Caitlin moment in the series thus far would have to be in Blood Dark when Caitlin is out with Meghan Yale at Kane’s club and ends up alone with Kane in the back…you know what I’m talking about -the rather long steamy scene that ensues between those two before the Stasher shows up has always been a very memorable scene for me in the series 😉
In case you need a reminder as to what scene I’m referring to…
She tilted her head to the side slightly. ‘Are you suggesting I offer you sex in exchange for information, Kane?’
For once he struggled to read her. Either she was willing to play or he was about to get an almighty slap. He wasn’t entirely sure which was going to eventually result in more pleasure…
‘You think I’d be willing to do that?’
Gliding his fingers up her spine, up to the nape of her neck, he gently coiled his fingers into a fistful of hair, his lips inches from hers. ‘You come into my territory with the intention of trading with me, a beautiful woman like you, do you not think I’d have every intention of persuading you?’
‘Seducing me? Or coercing me?’
‘Depends on my mood.’
Gah! I love these two! <3
Wow…this is a tough one there are many so here is one of my favorites from Blood Dark this is Catlin and Kane..
‘I know I’m not easy to get close to,’she said. ‘We both knew we were coming into this damaged. But I have given more of myself to you in these past two weeks than I have ever given to anyone. So don’t you fucking dare sit there with your arms folded like you’re the only injured party in this. This was not an easy decision but I had to do it.
That statement is something similar to what i have said before. Brilliant statement!!!!!
there are just soo many great Kane moments, I pretty much love every scene his is in, from their first encounter to when he wanders around Caitlin’s apartment packing her clothes – a stalker with that extra bit of planning – go to give him kudos for that – and the clothes that he selected for her – very telling, to killing the nilkim, to the scene that I always think about when I think of Kane and Caitlin – THAT scene, the *cough* trust building jaw dropping one….so I guess my choice will be THAT “trust building scene” with the bed, and the silk ties…ahem..fans herself
This is a very hard one as there r lots of Kane and Caitlins moments,it all started for me with Blood Shadows as i fell in love with Kane and Caitlin story from the off.
The garage scene is one of my fav when Caitlin says ‘Don’t you hurt me’
Kane’s response was ‘But Caitlin, i thought you said you weren’t fragile’.
Also at the end of Blood Shadows when Kane says to Caitlin ‘You’re going to be okay with me,I promise’
‘And you’re going to be okay with me,Kane.’
Just thinking about Kane and Caitlin now makes me want to re read this book for the 4th time.
I also loved the scene at the end of Blood Dark where Kane brakes down crying,goes to show how much he loved Caitlin and wasn’t afraid to show everybody……that sceene that broke me.
I could go on and on but these r just a few of my fav scenes.
This is one of my favourite Kane quotes:

Firstly, I love him being all sexy Alpha. Secondly, you know this is the start if something epic, where it all begins..
My favourite part is at the end of Blood Shadows when they encounter the soul ripper and Kane tells Caitlin he loves her. It’s one of my favourite moments because it took me completely by surprise at how Kane opened up to Caitlin like that…
In the corner of her eye, she saw the soul ripper grow bigger in its impatient rage.
‘Last chance,’ Kane said.
‘No, Kane. It’s yours.’
Kane hissed with frustration. ‘Trust me.’
She wouldn’t look away. She refused to break from his glower. ‘Give me a reason to.’
‘I love you,’ he said.
I have so many but my favorite is when Caitlin and Kane were lying side by side on the rooftop after she almost died. Kane told her he would grow old with her! That totally got me! That is love!
I have two different sections, both from Blood Shadow, this one is the first meeting between Kane and Caitlin. It is just a reminder of the attraction both had prior to this moment. “‘You’re lucky you serve a purpose,’ he said, combing her hair back over her shoulder. Her heart pounded painfully. ‘What’s that supposed to mean?’‘You’re the one who’s obsessed with me – what do you think?’ As he traced the back of his cool fingers tenderly down her exposed neck, a caress more sensual than she would have thought possible for someone with such renowned brutality, Caitlin held her breath. She was stunned by her own involuntary arousal, suppressing it with every iota of conviction she had. ‘I think you’d better walk away,’ she said, battling to get her focus back on the job. ‘Or give yourself up.’‘… This is their second encounter where Kane takes a sleeping Caitlin from her home and we get a glimpse Kane mindset in the beginning. “She shifted and rolled languidly onto her back, one arm loose beside her head, one leg now tucked under the other. She turned her head away from him, fully exposing her slender neck. The movement was graceful, the opening up of her body arousing. He felt himself harden just looking at her. But he couldn’t mess up. This was about self-control – something that had never been an issue for him until Caitlin. Until he’d heard through underworld communications that the VCU’s golden girl was now after him. The golden girl who’d had the audacity to take on his case. The golden girl with the gentle eyes and delicate stature who took down vampires as effectively as any man on her team could, if not more so. The girl who went home alone every night or at the crack of dawn. The girl who stepped outside only to go to work, for the occasional movie rental, or food shopping to return with a small bag of meals for one. The girl whom , under any other circumstances, he would already have had in his bed.”
It’s tough to pick just one favourite moment out of so many (got to mention the silk ties *ahem*….hot!!)
Caitlin’s quote in Blood Dark after they dealt with the stasher could be true for all our heroes, but we’re just starting to find out Kane’s ulterior motives, the reason why and what he is doing in Blackthorn, which is why I loved it (and it leads to the second dual feed 😉 )
‘And a hero, a real hero, doesn’t have shining armour. Only those who shy away from the battle can gleam. A soldier, a real knight, their armour is battered, dented, damaged.’ She met his gaze. ‘They have bruises no one can see.’
‘You should know,’ he said, reaching up to gently rub his thumb across the graze on her jaw. ‘You could have stepped back tonight too.’ She slid her fingers along the front of the waistband of his jeans. ‘And have lost you? Have had Blackthorn lose you? Fuck that.’
Amen to that!

One of my favorite moments is in Blood Dark when Caitlins life was hanging by the threads in Kane’s arms. He was so helpless and my heart hurts for him. I was crying so much Lindsay, you wouldn’t believe lol. But he never gave up. I’m so glad how it went after that. Thank uou 😙
I love the bit at the very beginning just a few pages in. Caitlin arrests him. I just knew i’dnot read something like this before. Not only was it the dynamic between them but this whole other world opening up to me. I was in love with Blackthorn before I knew it

My favourite quote is from Kane to Caitlin just after she drinks the herbal concoction that Kane gives her. He says, “I could never hate you. You make me feel too much.”
It’s the first time that Kane really admits to having true feelings for Caitlin. Melts my heart every time!
My fav scene is when they are at the precinct and he has her caged to the table!!
She held her breath as he lifted her wrist to his mouth , brushed his soft lips along one of the most tender, receptive parts of her body. And as he let it go and gently used the back of his hand to turn her head towards him, she almost conceded and raised the alarm. ‘Unfortunately, for what I have planned,’ he said, lowering his mouth to hers. ‘I’m going to need that precious glowing soul of yours.’
Oh heck I don’t like these quandaries that you put me in lol . Every word written in the whole series so far is my favourite. It is the whole more then the individual that keeps me desperate for more …. Best answer I can give xxxx
Lindsay there are so many scenes but if I had to choose one standout moment it would be with the bows and arrows and nilkim in Blood Dark.
“Who the hell uses a bow and arrow these days?” Morgan asked…
Her pulse raced. She had to hide her smile, Because she knew exactly who.
Then, Kane wanted to kill the police officer who refused to help Caitlin, but he didn’t. He put his own feelings aside for her. And I ABSOLUTELY loved the flashback to Kane’s apartment with the bow and arrow. Kane and Caitlin were having FUN together.
“You missed” she declared teasingly.
He’d placed his palm flat beside her head, pulled the arrow from the wall before raking its tip slowly across her bare collarbone. “You know better than that”.
Loved that we were just left imagining what Kane was about to do with that arrow. PHEW sexual tension or what??
